:: Behind the Scenes of Royal Romance shoot ::

In the town of Ruiel-Malmasion, France sits the Chateau de Malmaison, a mansion which once belonged to the Bonapartes. In fact, Napoleon was away at war when Josephine purchased the manor, much to his dismay because they spent years restoring it, but it eventually became a beloved home to the Bonaparte family. The love story of Napoleon and Josephine is not generally focused on, yet Napoleon was truly a romantic at heart with his lengthy love letters and affections for his wife.

This is the scene that the vendors of Hill City Bride have portrayed through a stylized photo shoot. Much like the deteriorating chateau, our City of Seven Hills has its own array of buildings that are long past their prime yet need some love and attention.

Napoleon’s time was filled with rich colors, opulence and a regal feel, all of which is conveyed through this editorial. In much the same way, brides are able to ponder different eras for ideas and translate them into workable elements for their own wedding day. Whether a wedding is a full rendition of a theme or merely has hints and flairs, it is a couple’s day to transform and make their own.
