Learn how to create a low poly portrait in Photoshop

2/22/2015 Matt 1 Comments

In this tutorial you will learn how to create a portrait, that looks like a low poly 3D model. You will be using the Polygonal Lasso Tool to paint triangles, the 'average' blur filter to calculate an average color of a selection and create your own action, so you'll have less work. Photoshop's grid will help you to connect the triangles. In the end, we will apply different layer style effects to the polygons.

Hi, thanks for the tutorial :) Im struggling as soon as I try to create my second polygon after doing all prep making action etc I create the first polygon perfect, then the second and its not creating polygon saying theres nothing to make selection from, but looking at how you did it continuing to make selections and playing action without clicking on background layer again, i don't know why its not working for me.
