Aerial Photography: Interview with Vincent Laforet about his book AIR

AIR is an exquisite museum-quality book of breathtaking high-altitude aerial photographs taken over 10 of the world's most iconic cities. Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer Vincent Laforet flew over New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Berlin, London, Miami, San Francisco, Barcelona, and Sydney.

Berlin - have been waiting to share some images from this beautiful city. EASILY one of the single hardest cities to shoot from the air (not least of which because getting the clearance to go really high was very very challenging). My aerial tech @mikeisler helped to rig a special harness system we had used previously enabling me to shoot tethered and with a wide angle lens suspended below the helicopter (think 'camera on a stick'). Here we see part of old Berlin meshed with new Berlin, and the telltale different colored lights detailing different elements of this wonderful city. This image is available as a 22x28" lithograph (http://www.laforetair.com/proddetail.php?prod=AIR_BERLIN), and more shots of Berlin appear in the book available at http://www.laforetair.com/proddetail.php?prod=AIR_BOOK
