Petaluma, California-based wedding and portrait photographer Michael Corsentino debuts for Photoflex and PhotoflexLightingSchool with PLS's first full length video lesson. Michael covers how to create dimension with light and how to shoot multiple looks with the same lighting setup.

Because of his emphasis on planning and pre-visualization, in a matter of three hours of rigorous shooting, Michael was able to capture a staggering amount of final images of a model who wore three different dresses in four different locations.

During his career, Simon has traveled extensively to work on feature stories as diverse as soccer in Zambia, golfers in Greenland, and badminton in Indonesia. He photographs football, tennis, skiing, soccer, and golf for Sports Illustrated. He has developed a diverse archive of portraiture including Michael Phelps with his eight Olympic gold medals, Lance Armstrong, Ben Bradlee, and David Beckham among other modern luminaries. His award-winning photograph of Ronaldo was featured in an ad for Canon Europe before the 2006 World Cup Games and in 2003 The London Observer chose one of Simon’s photographs to be included in their list of the World’s 50 Greatest Sports Photographs.

The Phoenix Group (phoenixgp.com) went on location with Canon Explorer of Light & Sports Illustrated photographer, Simon Bruty. Gillette Stadium and an end of season game between the New England Patriots and the New York Jets was the setting for Simon to showcase the new Autofocus system of the EOS-1D Mark IV.

All footage for the documentary and episodes was shot with the EOS 5D Mark II, the EOS 7D and the EOS 1D Mark IV.

Ethan invited me along to document one of his shoots and we expanded on that to include a short interview discussing his shoot called Dancing with Water. This includes information on the swimming pool location, equipment and lighting setup he used and some reflection on the shoot.

Shot with a Sony NEX-VG10, the interview portion was done with a Mamiya 80mm f/2.8 lens, and the wide shot with a Minolta 20mm f/2.8. Audio recorded with a Zoom H4.

This is a special feature documenting Gary Waite, a blind photographer who explores the world through the lens of his Nokia N8 digital camera.

Gary's interpretation of the world is shown through the images he creates. Using a Nokia N8 smartphone, Gary travelled to Blackpool to capture the sights and sounds of the lively town.
