"Sirens" : Behind the scenes Tyler Shields´ new project with long...long exposures
Sirens is a new series which Tyler Shields is very excited to debut. This series was shot all on Hasselblad. The idea behind this series was to capture time so he took very long exposures some the shortest 2 minutes the longest 28 minutes no photoshop all effects done in camera.
Sirens call, part of my new series coming out this week, tomorrow I will have a behind the scenes video of how I made this series and showing some of the super long exposures, getting people to be still for 20 minutes while they are half way upside down is no easy task but everyone in this series was just amazing! @guyhepner will have more soon as well. This is day 33 of my #100photosin100days challenge.
Reflections. From my new series Sirens with @guyhepner this was a very hard and very long shot to get as you can imagine laying still on rocks like that for 10 minutes is not easy but they executed it perfectly! Day 32 in my#100photosin100days challenge also in honor of Valentine's Day I will we tweeting some of my favorite kiss photos today as well. Happy Valentine's Day what are your plans for today?
Fog atop the water is the first in my new series I am debuting today called Sirens. The lady parts have been blurred for Instagram, I will be releasing a few more over the weekend and a full making of next week. This photo was an 11 minute exposure, the idea with this series was to capture time so I used a wide variety of exposures and time to create these images the result is some of the most dynamic prints I have ever seen! This series is available through @guyhepner or guyhepner.com this was one of the most intense displays of focus by people I have seen in a long time to be still is incredible difficult let alone when it's freezing cold and you are in this environment. Day 32 in my #100photosin100days Big thanks to #Hasselblad for this.
The challenge for creating this series was movement having everyone be still for such long periods of time. Below you will see a small making of check it out to see how some of these images were made!
