How To Do a Polaroid Emulsion Lift

Thanks to The Impossible Project and instant photography we can try this method again. Emulsion lift is a classic creative technique. Polaroid film allows to transfer your photos onto paper or other materials. With instant film and using this process you can stretches the images and create a larger print that the original.



Photographer Matt Day took one of these Polaroids, cut it up and in this video he teaches you how to do a Polaroid emulsion transfer.


This is one of my favorite things to do with instant film. It's been awhile since I've done it, so I thought I would revisit it and share the process, step by step, with you guys! -said Matt-
