Double Umbrella Lighting with Speedlights for Female Beauty Portrait Photography

In the video, our friend Michael Zelbel shares how he hacked his way to such a soft-light portrait in his hotel room during their trip to China.



Sometimes you are after charming, ultra-soft light for your portrait. You can create that with a huge light modifier. But when you don't have a colossal modifier to your disposal, then there's still hope.

Two simple shoot-through umbrellas will get the job done as well. For extra credit, you might throw in a reflector for filling in shadows. Don't have a reflector, either? But you do have something like a table nearby, don't you?
