Why do some colour combinations work so well? How much colour is too much? How can you control colour in your shots when you can’t control the scene you’re shooting?

 
Good or bad use of colour is one of the biggest factors in why some photographic work looks amateurish, and some looks stunning. Learning how to use, control and edit colour is a vital part of learning colour photography. A lot of that is down to what you choose to put in the frame, but also there’s a large influence from how the colours are tweaked in post production.
