Low Budget Graduated Filter Hack For Landscape Photography

You are in the middle on nowhere with your camera, in a perfect location for  a long exposure picture  but.....you have forgotten your graduated filter.

Photographer Benjamin Jaworskyj, that previously shared a video about how to make a Camera Rain Protection DIY for $1,  shows us an "old school" tip: use the back of something black to cut the light coming into your camera for a seconds.

Moving the phone a little bit during the process allows you to get better results ( this is an incredible tip to use with your graduated filter, believe me )



This method is not a substitute to a graduated filter, but Benjamin uses his smartphone with descents results:
