Midnight Explorer at "282 Ft. Below" At 282 feet below sea level Death Valley is like being in a furnace, especially during the summer days. With temperatures exceeding 120 degrees during the day, you'd think your getting a treat at night when it drops to the 90s. Until the wind picks up, which is more like the hot air that hits your face when you open up the oven door. My eyes were tearing up so bad I had to keep my back to the "wind". The salty cracked dirt below my feet made me feel like I was on another planet. And as I explore this Earth, no matter how unfavorable the conditions are, I was where I was meant to be. TECH: Nikon D800 14-24 - 14mm ISO 12,800 F2.8 Shutter 8 Seconds - 10 Photos stacked with StarryLandscapeStacker followed by a foreground photo with a Gary Fong Light sphere. #milkyway #Galaxy #nightscape #nightscapers #sky_captures #sky_perfection #sky_brilliance #huffpostgram #gothere #discoverearth #discoverglobe #splendid_shotz #splendid_earth #splendid_xposure #natgeospace #theworld_thru_youreyes #thisisthelife #picoftheday #igers #longexposure #galaxy #selfie #milkywaychasers

Midnight Explorer "Finding Joshua Tree" Another shot for my "Midnight Explorer" series I wanted to try something new and little more challenging. Combining a photo of me with a star trail photo, which took about 360 photos to create the trails. I got hit with some clouds to the left but it still came out awesome! For this shot I found an amazing Joshua Tree and lined my camera up with polaris and the tree underneath it. I took a shot with me lighting up the tree with a Gary Fong sphere - Nikon D600 Rokinon 14mm F3.2 ISO 3200 Shutter 20 Seconds. Then I changed my settings for my shutter to 25 seconds and started the star trails portion of the shot. After merging the star trails in post I took the starting frame which include me and blended myself into the star trail pic! #nikontop #huffpostgram #gothere #discoverearth #discoverglobe #splendid_xposure #splendid_shotz #splendid_earth #sky_captures #sky_brilliance #sky_perfection #startrails #picoftheday #instatraveling #topworldtravelpics #theworld_thru_youreyes #theworldisyours #milkywaygalaxy #nightscape #nighscapers

Midnight Explorer- "On Top Of The Rock" at Arch Rock, Joshua Tree NP, California. Part of my "Midnight Explorer" series I decided to try something different with green glow stick instead of white light. Unfortunately I came out a little soft since I had to try and stand still for the exposure. I got a great workout jumping on and off rocks in the dark, playing around with exposures and creating panoramas. All in a hard nights work :) Tech: Nikon D800 15mm Sigma Fisheye Lens F2.8 ISO 3200 Shutter 15 seconds. #sky_brilliance #sky_captures #instagood #theworldisyours #theworld_thru_youreyes #milkywaychasers #milkyway #galaxy #milkywaymike #california #cali #joshuatree #archrock #nightscapers #nightscape #gothere #huffpostgram #discoverearth #discoverglobe #pictoftheday #igersoftheday #longexposure #splendid_xposure #splendid_earth #starstax #explore #astrophotography #nightpix
