Nikon Z7 (pre-production) Review: Maybe wait...

Tony & Chelsea Northrup review the pre-production $3,400 Nikon Z7 full-frame mirrorless camera and compare it to the closest two rivals: the Nikon D850 and Sony a7R III.

The new Nikon Z7 has 45 megapixels and 4k (30p) video. They discuss the controls (buttons, dial, touch-screen), lenses, the FTZ adapter for F-mount lenses (testing the 70-200 f/2.8 VR), stabilization with adapted lenses, the single XQD memory card, video capabilities (including both 4k and slow-motion 1080/120p), the effective frames per second (technically 9, but 5.5 fps in practice), and metering.

Chelsea & Tony recommend waiting for firmware updates before ordering, but if you do want to pre-order it: http://sdp.io/z7.
