Advertising Photography Tutorial: 3 Light Beer Pour Photography Setup

8/31/2021 ISO 1200 Magazine 0 Comments

Workphlo has a new advertising tutorial and they explain a little bit this video: Some of his favorite advertising photography involves motion, depicting a product coming to life. By setting up a three speedlight system to flatter our background, beer can, and beer pint, we can capture a frozen motion pour.

Here we're pouring for an 'over the top' pre-spill energy, but you can apply this lighting to a more natural 45-degree pouring shot or any other composition you can think of. Let me run you through my workphlo for a beer pour advertising shot.

Stop Using this Common Editing Tool on your Landscape Photos! There's a better way..

8/26/2021 ISO 1200 Magazine 1 Comments

In this video, Mark Denney discusses the more common approach that most beginners implement when editing color which is applying global vibrance and saturation to their entire image. While this is fine to get started there is a much more powerful way to create a substantially more pleasing result.

But, instead of him just sitting here telling you how great this approach is, he puts it to the test in this week's video where he edits one of his favorite fall landscape photos using only the Vibrance & Saturation sliders and compare the results to his preferred method in order to illustrate the difference.

About Mark Denney:

My passion for landscape photography has grown from my love of the great outdoors. The serenity and therapeutic nature are perhaps what I enjoy most about it. I treasure the complete process that landscape photography requires, from the on-location aspect of actually traveling and taking the image to the post processing workflow of Lightroom and Photoshop.  Let's Get Connected: markdenneyphotography.com |  Twitter | Facebook | Instagram
