GPP Photo Week returns in 2017 running from February 10-17. Our unique event brings together world-class class photographers from across the globe, and offers amateurs and professionals alike a decadent week in which to learn first-hand from the award-winning pros and indulge their creative fantasies.
Here at
Gulf Photo Plus, we’re passionate about getting people involved in photography by providing a platform on which anyone and everyone can explore this inspiring medium. This year, we’ve pulled out all the stops to host our most ambitious, jam-packed photo week yet. With the Sony PhotoFriday and the legendary
ShootOut, as well as an ever-expanding roster of workshops, exhibitions, and artist talks, we can’t wait for the show to get started.

Included in this year’s lineup of visiting photographers is
ELIA LOCARDI, the internationally-recognized professional travel photographer, who has been circumnavigating the globe capturing exquisite, colorful landscapes and specialized aerial drone footage. We are also thrilled to have the wildly popular viral and epic photographer
BEN VON WONG who will be sharing the wizardry of his impossible images in two specialist classes Creating the Extraordinary out of the Ordinary and Capturing the Epic - One Step at a Time. Much-beloved lighting mastermind
DAVID HOBBY returns to the event this year, best known for his informal teaching style, mastery of light, and world-famous blog,
Strobist.com.

Set amongst the warehouses of Alserkal Avenue, we’re putting on an eclectic mix of activities free for the public to get involved with - including the insightful Sony Snap Sessions, photo walks, and even a movie night. What’s more, we’ll be offering exclusive deals on kit and free camera cleaning, in addition to giveaways for lucky winners. The week culminates with a fever-pitch finale in the ShootOut where three visiting instructors are pitted against one another to produce the best possible photograph in just 20 minutes - all in front of a live audience.
GPP Photo Week 2017 will host the official UAE launch and pre-order for the
Fuji GFX 50s, Fuji’s new medium-format camera. The launch will take place on Wednesday, February 15th and will be hosted by world-famous street photographer and GPP Photo Week instructor
ZACK ARIAS.
